There are so many wonders to explore around our hometown of Spring Green and beyond. Start planning your summer escape and consult APT's Area Guide for local lodging, shopping, dining and attraction options.
Did you know you could find a slice of heaven right down the road from APT? For those who love the Driftless region, this comes as no surprise. Experience paradise this summer at Little Eden, a top-rated Airbnb with exquisite views of the lush surroundings and access to all the area has to offer. Owner and host Juliet Page shares more in this Area Guide Spotlight.
A little Eden in the Town of Eden. This mod 1972 cabin is just four miles West of Dodgeville, nestled in a secluded glen with private pool, staggering views, 60 acres of hiking, hunting, or trout fishing on two decks. Guests can enjoy access to all the Driftless region is known for: hiking, biking, antiquing, thrifting, fine regional dining, American Players Theatre, Taliesin Preservation, Pendarvis and Mineral Point galleries, House on the Rock, and Potosi Brewing Company. This place is perfect APT patrons looking to enjoy the landscape between shows.
We purchased our little piece of Eden (literally - it’s in the township of Eden) to enjoy a property with breathtaking views and 60 acres that’s a mix of woods, native prairie, and wetlands. There was a slightly neglected second house on the property. Post COVID, we restored it to allow others to experience the natural beauty and the art and culture of the region.
We are APT patrons ourselves and love the scenic drive between Little Eden and Spring Green. Our well maintained guest house is also close to the Mineral Point arts district, so visitors to the region can take in world class performing arts at APT and also enjoy the region's other arts at Shake Rag Alley, Pendarvis, The Mineral Point Opera House, Taliesen, and so much more that the Driftless Region has to offer!
This is just a lovely rental for people who treasure APT's rustic setting but have high standards for their stay. When not exploring the area, you can relax by the pool, catch up on work with fast WIFI, or Netflix and binge in front of a 75” TV ... or stare out a wall of windows into a swath of DNR demo land.
We're sense-of-place people, and there's something about APT's orbit that reminds you that you're experiencing something that is unique the region and its people and landscape.
My perfect day in Mineral Point is finding a brand new Land's End Swimsuit for $2 at the Bargain Nook, a great book from Republic of Letters, and then a terrific wood-fired pizza and salad at Popolo.
