Mineral Point has become a year-round destination for visitors with its stacked calendar of music, culinary and community events. Learn more about what this beloved Southwestern Wisconsin gem has to offer in today's Area Guide Spotlight, sponsored by the Mineral Point Chamber of Commerce.
Nestled in the Driftless Region of southwest Wisconsin, Mineral Point is known for its beautiful limestone architecture, thriving arts community, galleries, artist studios, locally owned shops, cozy lodging, scenic outdoor spaces, and delicious dining experiences. The Chamber works year-round to promote tourism, support local businesses, highlight community events, and encourage visitors to slow down, explore, and experience everything Mineral Point has to offer.
There is always something to do in Mineral Point!
Whether that is taking a guided tour at one of our historic landmarks, attending an art or cooking class, exploring a gallery, enjoying live music, shopping throughout the community, or experiencing one of our many events throughout the year.
One of our biggest traditions is our Fourth of July Celebration featuring a historic run/walk, parade, live music, fireworks, and family activities throughout the day.
During the holiday season, Candlelight Shopping, held the first Saturday in December, transforms Mineral Point into a festive experience with horse-drawn carriage rides, carolers, chestnuts roasting over an open fire, fireworks, shopping, dining, and seasonal experiences throughout the historic community. Visitors can explore upcoming events and experiences anytime at mineralpoint.com/events.
Just a short drive from APT, Mineral Point offers visitors the chance to explore a historic small town filled with art galleries, artist studios, locally owned shops, unique dining experiences, scenic Driftless landscapes, and beautifully preserved limestone architecture.
