Introduce us to Taliesin Preservation!

Taliesin is the home, studio, and 800-acre estate of Frank Lloyd Wright in Spring Green, Wisconsin. Read up on our over 100 years of history here.

The Frank Lloyd Wright Visitor Center, where all tours of Taliesin depart from, includes The Wright Gift Shop and Riverview Terrace Cafe - the only remaining Wright-designed restaurant in the world!

We offer guided tours of Taliesin, which includes the house and estate, as well as self-paced house tours that give visitors the opportunity to explore Taliesin at their own pace with our downloadable app.

Do you have any events or experiences you'd like to share with our audience?

Yes! We have all of our events listed online. Guests can find concerts, performances, film screenings and so many other engaging events throughout the summer.

We also offer immersive Weekend Workshops, which were recently heralded by National Geographic as "Best in the World" for wellness destinations in 2026. Guests spend 3 days and 2 nights on the Taliesin estate, while learning new skills like painting, photography, chocolate-making and more.

Why should APT audience members visit Taliesin?

Taliesin is the only public UNESCO World Heritage Site in Wisconsin and is of global significance. It's just down the road from APT and is the perfect place to tour, shop, and dine before a performance.

What's something people may be surprised to learn about Taliesin?

That we are not the House on the Rock - and that Frank Lloyd Wright did not build the House on the Rock. It's a common mistake!

What do you love about being part of the Spring Green community?

We love being a part of this area's creative community in all ways. This quote from The Wall Street Journal in 2025 sums up the area perfectly:

"Wright's creative, rule-breaking spirit seeps deep into the area's soul & soil..."

For folks making a trip to Spring Green, what other stops would you recommend they explore during their time here?

All of the quaint businesses downtown, Driftless Area Land Conservancy trails, and of course American Players Theatre and House on the Rock.
