American Players Theatre’s summer season

Freshly christened with the regional theater Tony Award, the American Players Theatre nestles two venues — a spacious outdoor amphitheater and an intimate indoor space — in the rolling hills of Wisconsin. Its summer lineup includes Thornton Wilder’s “The Matchmaker” and Anton Chekhov’s “Uncle Vanya,” plus a fresh, music-forward staging of “The Two Gentlemen of Verona” from D.C. theater-maker Aaron Posner and “Urinetown” co-creator Greg Kotis.
